I have recently started having issues with my battery. I did not make any changes before this started happening. It goes from 100% charge to 0 in a day. Tonight, I noticed a red light on the back of the watch. It won’t turn off. I am trying yo do a factory reset and the red light is still on but the watch won’t turn back on. This watch is less than a year old. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

@Paulakr it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since a red light won't turn off. By the way, thank you for trying a factory reset before contacting our forums.
Please let me know if the reset process that you tried is the process that is listed in this help article. If this is the process, I'd like you to try another reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Please sync your watch before this process in order to avoid losing any current data.
Finally, follow the troubleshooting steps listed in this help article in order to improve the battery life of your Versa and see if the issues get fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome!

Hello,
I recently have issues with my Fitbit versa not turning the red light off from the back.... I tried resetting my Fitbit several times I even did the factory reset couple times and nothing works, and since the red light won't turn off the battery only last like couple hours.
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I tried the steps listed above, is there anything else I can try?

Mine is doing the same thing now. It started with reading my heart rate super high while I was sitting. I chatted with tech, restarted it a bunch of time and then did a factory reset. It works 10x worse now than before the factory reset. Extremely disappointed. And all coincidentally a month after my warranty is up.

I am facing the similar issue... I have noticed the calories burned is going higher even when I am not wearing it because of the Red Light. Is this issue sorted out for anyone? What is the resolution?

What if I can't even get the clock face to turn on. It's like it's dead except for the red light on the back.

Good afternoon. I've done everything possible including factory reset. Red light is still on. Heart rate and sleep aren't being monitored again. Really need help please. Quite frustrating

this does not work and you have been told as much in many different threads. Have your developers work on a fix please. Seems like you don't care about the issue that many of your loyal customers have had!!!

Same exact thing happened to me. My battery at first was lasting only 2 days, then 1 day, then about 12 hours, at the end it would die on me in the middle of my work day around 6 hours. Now it won't even charge and there is a red light on the back that won't shut off. I've had it on the charger for awhile now too. Problem with me is that my warranty ran out last month. I ordered a new one at 40% off...but this is my THIRD Fitbit I've had issues with. First my blaze malfunctioned and the lasers/lights on the back stayed on constantly and burned my wrist pretty bad. Blisters and all. So I got another one from eBay....this one wouldn't even turn on. So then I switched models...decided on the versa. My dad got it for me for my bday last April. And then this happens. Ughhhhhhh. So I bought the new one for a pretty good price. If this one takes a crap on me, even within a year, I won't be wearing anything Fitbit anymore. I did all the troubleshooting. Did all the battery life saving methods. Even did the factory reset. It won't even turn on now. I'm kind of hoping it's just the charger (wishful thinking) and that when the new one gets here I can try that charger. We will see ...but I don't think I'm gonna be that lucky.

My watch is doing the same exact thing. My first fitbit versa died 4 months after I purchased it so this is my 2nd one since the last was replaced by the warranty. This one I have had for about 14 months and it has been working great until it requested i do the update on it about 2 weeks ago. Ever since the red light will not shut off and it vibrates constantly switching screens non-stop. I did a factory reset on it and now it is a million times worse and it goes through a 100% battery charge overnight. I am not sure what to do with it since everything on this forum makes it seem like this 2nd replacement is done as well since it is out of warranty. I love the watch when it works but it is not worth this hassle.

Same issue with mine it is 16 months old so outside of warranty. A 200.00 Watch should not only last one year. Stand behind your products Fitbit. A coupon is not good enough.
