I have recently started having issues with my battery. I did not make any changes before this started happening. It goes from 100% charge to 0 in a day. Tonight, I noticed a red light on the back of the watch. It won’t turn off. I am trying yo do a factory reset and the red light is still on but the watch won’t turn back on. This watch is less than a year old. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

I'm having the same issue. They offer a coupon for 25% which was still higher price than the watch that was on sale. Would not give 25% of sale price , just off of list price which means they are giving you nothing for buying their **ahem** over and over again. I'm starting to believe this is their revenue model; sale their **ahem** that last a year or so and get the foolish consumer to buy another. Its time for everyone to walk away from Fitbit until the revenues and stock drops so low that someone else comes in buys the company and fix the issues (product and support team). Why does quality for every other smartwatch go up and price go down except for Fitbit? They are taking advantage of the customers.

Similar issue here. Now a Versa that died after first time swimming and later have red light on back constantly on while no heart rate reading nor steps counted. Tried restart and factory reset.
I have used Fitbit for many years of various models. None lasting longer than 1,5 years and replacement unit often dies after 10-12 months. Poor quality..
Some luck living in Sweden where we are offered 2 years warranty. But still, such expensive trackers should last a bit longer - and if swim tracking it should withstand water! 🤪

Hey I started having the same issue with my versa lite. It won't even last 8 hours without dying. I restarted it but the light on the back didn't go away. Why are the versas doing this? Is there a manufacturer problem

Walk away from Fitbit and the crap they sell. When they work, they are not a bad device. They get the consumers because they appear to be a bit cheaper until you realize, you'll be replacing your devices every 12-18months. Apple watch, Garmin... are cheaper in the long run.
Fitbit is crap. They know it and all of us that have been using them for years know it. I’ve had multiple flexs, surge, charge, charge hr, inspire, inspire he, versa, versa lite.... multiple of each they have gotten better but still suck. My lady versa lasted 13 months. Support sucks, there is no trouble shooting just pretending to do so.

I too ran into the red LED light staying on and killing the battery, but somehow I was able to recover full function, at least for now. I also did resets and factory resets to no avail. What I decided to do since I couldn't remove the battery and reinsert it was to let it die completely. I let it sit for a couple of days to make sure it was devoid of charge and then put it back on the charger for several hours. It took a few seconds after attaching it to the charger to show the 0% charge indicator, but it was charging. After about 6 hours of charging it was up to about 91% and the red LED was no longer on. Unfortunately the heart rate monitor wasn't working at all, so all I had was an expensive pedometer at that point. I wore it for a while and decided to put it on the charger overnight to let it go to 100%, and voila after taking it off the charger in the morning the LED on the back was green and the heart monitor was once again working properly. So far the functionality has been completely restored and continues to work after about a day and a half. I will update if I have any more issues. I hope this turns out to be a workable solution, wishing us all some luck!
