Went for a walk and halfway through went to check my speed and distance and it was showing 0 for both. Ended and restarted hoping that would fix but still didn’t register km or speed but is still registering steps taken. Any advice. I have just updated it.

Hi @Locatt87. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot regarding this data missing in the the Fitbit app.

I'm not sure if this happened before or this is just the first time that you are experiencing this difficulty.

Please try to perform the following steps in the app:

  • Log out from the Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  • Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
  • Check if the issue is still happening.

I had the same issue a while ago. It appears my stride length for walking suddenly was blank, while I did not change anything myself. There is a number for running, so this was really weird. When I manually filled in a number, distance in km was measured again. Click on Hourly activity - dots on the top right - activity settings - scroll below for stride length.

I also began a topic and was referred to an article that did not help. It only told me to fill in a number manually, but I want it to be measured automatically. My issue is still not fixed.

I’m having the same issue, it began in late July 2024. If I purposely start an exercise, my phone GPS kicks in and tracks the distance. But when I’m walking around for my daily activities or walk outdoors without starting an activity, only my steps are tracked. Until July, steps and distance were tracked all day long.
I followed the steps suggested in the 8/20/24 advice, but that has not fixed my issue, nor has any other online advice. Help, anyone?
