It is ridiculous that I cannot send my fitbit in for repairs in South Africa, physically their is nothing wrong with the device not even a scratch the only problem is the screen has gone further everything works

Unfortunately there is no solution except to throw it in the trash!!
So disappointed in Fitbit as a brand.
I will not purchase anything from them again.

Nope! Tried a few IT places but there is no real place to fix Fitbit out of Warranty.
So it is collecting dust in my drawer. Good luck all, next one i get might be a Garmin or Samsung. Although i must say that my wifes, which was purchased same day, is still working.

My screen also gone after 1, 5 years although it can still sync with the app and backlight works. Must through it away now as nothing can be done. Will never buy a Fitbit again. Does anyone know the Polar? Compared to a Garmin

Could not agree more. I am never buying a Fitbit again. Have had the same issues with my screen on a Charge 3. Conveniently for Fitbit, this started just after the warranty period.

I have this exact problem. And the current unit is a replacement unit. Had the first one for less than a year . They replaced it. This one is just over a year don't know if they will replace it. Will claim from insurance as an unspecified item worst case. So third fitbit in 3 years. Because i am stubborn and don't respect myself.

I bought a Garmin yesterday and out of warranty it can be repaired and you can even take it in yourself to the Garmin repair centre in Midrand. Take note that I am not dissatisfied because of the fact that my fitbit was not replaced out of warranty, because of the fact that when your warranty expires and something happens....you must just take your fitbit and throw it in dustbin as there is no repair option....and that is sad

Apparently there is no support after the 1 year warranty period. Fitbit Support sucks.Never going to buy a Fitbit again!

I was just told there’s no way to repair the stupid thing. If it was a cheapy device sure but it’s a bloody fitbit. This is ridiculous. Everyone I know has been going over to garmin and I’m not far behind to move over too
