Updated to the new firmware and now it won't stay paired with my phone.
I can choose PAIR on the watch in RESTORE MUSIC CONTROLS then click VERSA(CLASSIC) on my phone, it pairs fine.
It will then disconnect from my phone after a couple of minutes.
If I click in RESTORE MUSIC CONTROLS after pairing the next option is OFF not ON so it's impossible to leave it connected?
I believe you need to swap the OFF - ON options around?

I am having the same issue since the recent firmware update. This is frustrating to say the least.

I have the same problem since the last update. I reported it in the french community. No reply yet.
I hope someone will find how to fix this annoying bug soon

Agreed. Bluetooth connection has been spotty before but now it's abysmal. The watch will never connect to the phone and the phone can only connect to the watch when the watch is in pairing mode, disconnecting only a couple of minutes later. No amount of reboots, re-pairing, or reassociating the Versa with my account fixes this.

I've been having the same problem since updating. I have to constantly pair the versa and phone to control the music and not even a song later it disconnects. I've tried everything suggested in troubleshooting regarding syncing and nothing corrects the issue. It's one of the primary reasons for having the watch, so not happy

Unable to pair with my headphones since the update, everything was fine before. Sending my Ionic back as soon as the active 2 is available in my country.

Same here. So frustrating, one of the reasons why I've liked the Versa is being able to control my music for the fitness classes I teach. Is there anyway to undo the update? i really would like to be able to use this function again.

I tried everything to get my music control to stay connected. I finally did a factory reset to my Versa and reset up my Versa in the app. So I'm now back to the old firmware version 32.33.1.30 and everything is working again.

It's great that people have found a workaround by doing a factory reset but it doesn't resolve the initial issue. It would be nice if it were at least acknowledged as a known issue Fitbit is working on.

Crompsy, I agree with you. But I just happy the factory reset worked for me. I still have my Fitbit One which I still use to keep track of steps. Much more accurate for steps than anything you wear on your wrist. I have it set up so that the Fitbit One overrides the Versa steps. But like the Versa for automatically recording activity, receiving notifications, recording sleep, controlling my music, and that is waterproof. My Fitbit One is almost 5 years old. I'll be very sad when it dies.

I actually did a factory reset with the hopes of getting back to the old firmware to restore music controls (they were broken after the last update). But the watch updated to the latest firmware again while doing the factory reset and setting up the watch again. However, the watch seems to stay connected now and music controls are working again. I don't have that problem of the Versa Classic bluetooth connection dropping -at least that's been the case for the past half hour.

Any news on this being fixed? As far as I can tell it's not even been recognized by Fitbit as a problem yet?

I have had no luck getting music control to stay connected with the update. Worked great before update. I have tried everything. Even did a factory reset and reinstalled the update. Music control will not stay connected to phone after it is paired.
UPDATE -- FINALLY -- THE NEWEST UPDATE 32.70.7.14 FIXED THE PROBLEM.
The newest update fixed the problem I was having with the music control. It appears to be working correctly, though I have not gone for a long walk to test it out. But now when I start the music on my phone, my Versa music control connects to it and I can control music again.

I celebrated too soon. After the issue appeared to be fixed after a factory reset of the watch, sure enough, it (Versa Classic) disconnected again after about 30 minutes. In order to pair again, I have to forget the connection on my phone and pair again. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. Music control is one of the main reasons why I got a fitbit, and I use it regularly when exercising. As an Android user, I can only hope that Google's acquisition of Fitbit might lead to better integration with Android devices, but I'm not holding my breath. I've been burned in the past by Google too. I've seriously considered trying to switch to iOS and Apple watch, but Android and Google services are a major part of my workflow, and the switch would bring a whole host of inconveniences. I hope they can fix this soon.

This a known issue with the last firmware update...(that Music Controls disconnect)
Unfortunately the Fitbit forum (nor support site) have a KNOWN ISSUES section. The one listed on the side of this forum is really a FAQ, so not helpful for already identified problems.
Apparently we all have to wait for the next Firmware update, whenever that may be.

I did the factory reset and rolled back to the previous firmware version and haven't had any difficulty since. I'd like to have the update (for any other features) but I'm not willing to give up music control for them.

I did the factory reset, but it updated to the latest firmware during the reset without even prompting me. How did you get it to do that?

Hmm—it seemed straightforward to do at the time. Maybe something's changed since I did it a few weeks back. I do have to x out that versa update tile in the app every single time I engage with the app but otherwise it just worked, I think.

Hi all,
I had the same bug and after some tries, I get to have both, the Versa (Classic) and the Versa devices, connected at the same time. But now I noticed the Music Controls doesn't work as usual. I remember that before I can control the volume and have the option to go back and forward the music tracks with the screen buttons, but now those buttons just increase or decrease the volume. Do you have the same wrong behavior?
