Over the last few weeks my stair count has gone crazy! Today my Versa shows that I have walked up a grand total of 143 flights of stairs!! (3 before I even got out of bed and it's only 5pm) I have in fact managed a measly 6...This has been similar over the past weeks ( 99 flights yesterday, 54 the day before, 63 before that, and so on) I have reset the Versa to no avail. Please advise - Thank you

Mine has been doing this as well. It said 48 steps before I got up. I would like to know what to do about it.

Mine gave me 40 flights of stairs yesterday and I don't have stairs in my house. Today I already have 18. I have not even gone outside for a couple of days. Weather is awful.

For those that have way too large stair-counts, you may want to check the 'stairs' tile in the mobile app, click on day and see when it logs large amount of steps (data has 15min resolution). It is known that certain environmental things can lead to anomalous stair counts (wind, other pressure effects). Alternatively, a presumably more likely, your altimeter (pressure sensor) has gone bad. If it is under warranty, you will get a new one from fitbit.

My Versa is new. Just got it on Tuesday and this is Friday. Distance is off too. I should have stuck with my Charge 2.

@linlit If you feel that your altimeter sensor is broken, you should contact fitbit support, and they will make sure you get a new one.
As far as distance is concerned, you did not give many details. Do you mean distance as in km or miles? If so, have you checked your stride length? Or did you mean that steps are all wrong as well? OR are you using connected GPS? Maybe you can be a bit more specific, then the community knows exactly what is the issue with distance 🙂
