Run - total fail. Versa1 splits Manchester 1/2 marathon in 2 separate runs fails to record 3 miles.

Well,  that is it for you FitBit.   Just ordered Garmin Forerunner 245.

 

You have failed me one too many times.  

 

Yesterday Manchester UK 1/2 Marathon. Versa1 somehow 'self paused' between miles 6 to 9.

 

No,  I did not stop. GPS still connected & enabled. Auto pause & notifications are disabled to stop this happening.

 

But it still did. Not the first time this has happened.

 

Run cues enabled every 3 miles.  How & why I noticed it had stopped recording run.

 

When I pressed resume?

 

Unbelievably 'it quit'. It ended the Run 'on its own' instead of continuing as it should have done? It restarted as a new Run. 

 

FitBit - Instead of focusing on 3rd party app connections & compatibilities etc., you so needs to be making an out & out 100% dedicated fitness tracker. 

 

Without all of the useless gimmicks, apps, features & add ons that screw so much up. 

 

Blaze, Surge, Ionic and Versa1. I am not a FitBit employee.

Sorry to hear about your issues with your Versa not recording your half marathon properly. Thank you for sharing your feedback and if you still wish to troubleshoot this issue you can start by restarting your device. Also Support can further assist you. If you have already exchanged your device then I hope you keep up the training and can achieve your goals.
