Sad day. I've migrated to Garmin Forerunner 245 today

Today my Garmin Forerunner 245 arrived. I'm here config set it up 'getting used to it' with Versa 1 on one wrist Garmin on the other. I'm all fitness trackered out here!

I did not want to leave FitBit. When push comes to shoved and 'you try to help others from being in same position as I am in now' you only ask so many times before you realise - your loyalty has been tested enough & once too often.

After Blaze, Surge, Ionic & Versa1 difficulties there was no way I was going to risk Versa2.

I know the user manuals & workarounds for all he FitBits I have ever owned and I am not tech support.  No end user of any product should need to know that much data & information on any device they own unless you are expected to fly the darned thing!  NASA Space shuttle is less complicated than owning & 'piloting' a FitBit!  RIP FitBit Versa - you served me well - when you worked!

Blaze, Surge, Ionic and Versa1. As with yourself and others in the FitBit Community that post on here? We all do so 'we take time out to do so' to help each other. I am not a FitBit employee.

Hello @GrubbyDuck  just thought I'd let you know that your signature shows up twice on your post.

I thought you were going to Apple Watch when it was released on September 20th?

You going to stick around and keep that Fitbit on your wrist? Whatever happens, hope all goes well for you.

Versa will stay with me until & get used to Forerunner. Apple was a no go due to battery life 17 - 18 hours. No idea why signature is duplicating.

Signature was back to normal this time @GrubbyDuck  I'm seeing this on a Windows computer. Strange. Anyway, enjoy your journey.

Had the 235 (245 is an updated version of 235) for a while. Gave it away because of the dull display, horrible sleep detection, bad HR sensor, average GPS and mainly because of the terrible software navigation.

Really Garmin in my opinion is very overrated.

Right there with ya. I'm about to switch to Garmin. Or should I say back to Garmin. I had an old model Garmin back in my triathlon days and it last me through many years and many half Ironman races and one full Ironman race. Even survived a couple of bike crashes. And still worked like a charm.

I've had my FitBit Charge 3 for only 1 year and 4 months and it has gray lines through the screen, the touch screen barely works, and it won't hold a charge.

I don't want to risk dropping more money on yet another FitBit only to have similar issues in a year.

So, time to switch to Garmin. It was my trusty companion through my triathlon days. And I'm going to trust in it again.
