New phone and great watch but how long before they will connect. It is very important that I have an approximate date please.
the phone is a Samsung Galaxy A40 only purchased in June 2019.
the watch is a Fitbit Versa purchased in December 2018.
please give as much support as possible please.

Let me help you syncing your Versa with your phone. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. Also we don't have an specific timeframe of when/if it will be tested. You can try the following:

I already had a fitbit alta hr when I bought my samsung a40 and was able to connect the two perfectly and they worked together like a dream ... until 2 days ago when I let the fitbit battery completely die. Since recharging I haven't been able to sync to the app and now the phone won't even pair to the fitbit. Now fitbit are telling me they aren't compatible!

I have Chargè 2 and changed phone to A40, same issues as everyone else. Have received 3 replacements since November. Issues with synching and wont do updates.
Fitbit and other sellers do not make it clear about compatibility.
They will offer replacement or half price upgrade which is their way of getting out of the issue making you think you are getting something new. If your actual device doesn't work with your A40 then no replacement or upgrade is going to either!!

My fitbit lay in my drawer since October due to the non compatibility issue, but I dusted it off and charged it yesterday. Downloaded the app again on my A40 and it's working like a dream!! Found my device immediately and syncing no problem. I think they must have updated, it asked for location permission or something, but we're back!!!!
