Why do I have to tap the screen many times before the screen appears?

Hi there, @MeadowMuffin. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums.
Please go to your quick settings and check that screen wake hasn't accidentally been turned off. Swipe right from the clock face on your watch to access the quick settings. Change whether the screen turns on when you turn your wrist.
If this settings is set correctly, please try restarting your Versa 3 by following these steps: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Thanks Maria.
It seems to be working now. I was about to give up on trying to hold the button for 10 seconds, though. Each time I depressed and held it, I could feel it thumping back multiple times, and then it would display Quick Settings. The last time I intended to try, the Fitbit logo appeared and it must have reset.
In the owner's manual, it says "*For Fitbit Versa and Fitbit Ionic, press and hold the back and bottom buttons." I don't understand what "back and bottom buttons" means. I must be a little thick.
Anyway, thanks again for your help.
