Screen not lighting up when flipping wrist

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My screen no longer lights up automatically when I flip my wrist to look at it. I have to click the button every time to see what time it is or what notification I got. Is there anyway to fix this. I’ve had it for exactly a year and really don’t want to have to purchase a new one every year.

Hello @Clarkson717 and a warm welcome.  The only setting that I know of that disables both the Screen Wake and Notifications at the same time is your Versa being in Sleep Mode.  It's usually easy to see if you are in Sleep Mode because there is a crescent moon in the upper right.  To check your settings, swipe down on your watch face, then tap on the control center.  Check your settings.

My Versa doesn’t appear to have that setting. When I swipe down I just get the notification screen. I don’t see that option in the Fitbit app either. The watch vibrates for notifications but the screen will not light up when I turn my wrist.

@Clarkson717   I'm sorry that my advice is not helping.  I use a Versa 2 and my Control Center shows up when I swipe down.  The Versa Manual says that this is an option for you on p 20.

P 22 of the manual gives this path.  Swipe left until you get to the Setting (gear).  Check your settings there.

I don’t see a sleep mode but thanks for helping me find the settings on the watch. I did a factory reset and hope that helps or I guess I will upgrade to the Versa 2

@Clarkson717   I don't think you need to upgrade unless you really want to.  To me this sounds like a Settings issue.  You said you Versa was vibrating when you got a notification, something you didn't mention in your first post.  That sounds like the screen wake option is turned off.

I hope your reset does the trick.  Just to be complete, here is some info for you and for other users who have the same problem.
