14 months ago, my Fitbit Blaze died (about 20 months into ownership). Feeling that it was just bad luck even though many people online had the same issue, I thought I'd give it another go and picked up a Versa SE.
Well, this morning, my Versa won't turn on anymore, even after charging it to full a day or two ago. Charging it again, trying all the button combos, all did nothing. Talking to customer service, the only option I have is to replace it with a brand new one for 25% off retail. There's no repair center or any other recourse, just "sorry, try again".
I don't think I can invest in another Fitbit. As much as I love the app and the integration with the Aria I have, and the multiple random compliments I got on how nice the Versa looked, I can't justify a device that will fail so easily and so quickly. Looking at the forum here, the device is full of problems, inconsistencies, with minimal support. Is it too much to ask for a device that works consistently?
Now if only Apple Watch had sleep tracking...

I quite agree.
I have had endless problems with the Versa lite and am on the 4th 'pebble' , I email support almost daily and am just told 'please be patient we're working on a fix' they seem oblivious to the fact there are so many issues reported with the Versa devices - as evidenced by these forums - and I've lost all faith in the brand.
I honestly feel that I wasted £150 when I bought the thing.

ok so it turns out that after charging ovenight, the fitbit is back on.
EXCEPT the screen still won't respond. It's vibrating to phone notifications and the HR monitor is finally lighting up again, but nothing on the screen at all. I see some people got this problem too, any solutions?

Hi
I do not want to bring you bad luck but for me it started like this and then died few days after.
Still under warranty so the Supports guys proposed to send to me a new one. I accepted
It will be my 3rd in 18 months.... The 1st I bought after they stopped the servers of PEEBLE. I used to be a PEEBLE addict, finally FitBit offered me a good deal to buy a VERSA. About 11 months later, the heart measurement died (it was possible in the 1st versions to get your cardio while swimming, it was amazing, not anymore...), so they sent to me for replacement, my 2nd one, and 6 Months later (now) a 3rd one. Hopefully, by law, the guarantee in Europe is 24months, not 1 year
I suspect that all went wrong since the FW updates we all received 😞
Too bad this watch does not last long for the price... but at least the support was good
