My mum purchased a second hand versa which was locked with a pin upon arrival. The seller has since provided the pin, but now the fitbit is displaying “unlock with phone” which i’m assuming we can’t do that since we don’t have the account it is currently paired with.
i tried to sync it through the app but the verification code doesn’t show due to the Fitbit being locked.
does the “unlock with phone” go away in time and give us the option to enter the pin again or is this now the only way?
Is there anything we can do?

Unfortunately, the only way round this issue is to factory reset the fitbit and the problem with that is you can't get to the settings option because of the lock.
There is a complicated way to factory reset using just the buttons but I think you should do this under the guidance of customer support as it can get messy. You can contact them via contact.fitbit.com
