Second hand versa withpin lock

I bought a second hand Fitbit versa recently but when I came to use it it has a pass code lock on it and I can't get into it. Is there a way to remove the pass lock at all like maybe a factory reset?

Yes he should have done that before giving it to you.

I reset by holding all three buttons until screen blanks (not just the flash, continue to hold through the flash to BLANK screen)

Now hold all three again and the fitbit logo comes up. Let go and wait for a vibrate confirmation and log clear.

Swiping to settings/About/FactoryReset shuts my Ionics down and sends the user to fitbit.com/setup dialog, forcing them to go to the App and re-Pair. Re-pairing usually gets hung unless sync all day is turned on in mobile settings, rarely is, so user is forced to "forget" Ionic in mobile settings and reinstall 2.1 update. Not so bad before OS2, now a lengthy process so I'd suggest trying the less invasive three button shortcut to logo first.

Thank you but I actually managed to sort it by syncing the watch to the app and then turning the lock off through there

Great! I expect that would work

How did you sync with the app if the previous user had a lock code on it?

The previous user should have done a factory reset to clear their charge card, pin, and data.

You have to setup the tracker to your account before you can sync it.

But first a factory reset.

Fitbit OS hardware reset.

On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This will trigger the 2-button hardware restart after about eight seconds.

- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, whilst continuing to hold the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.

- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.

- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.
