Sending messages to my childs fitbit Versa Lite

Am I able to message my son to his fitbit Versa Lite?  Not to the app, but the actual tracker?  I set up his Versa Lite, and assigned myself as a guardian, but he is not receiving messages that I send him on his tracker.  My son is 10 yrs old and does not have a cell phone, nor will he be getting one until he is old enough to drive a car (15 yrs old).  We set up his Versa, and he was receiving all of MY text messages, which was certainly not intended or appropriate.  I would appreciate some REAL technical guidance with these issues!  Thank you

Hi @LilEvee  You cant do it! It is not possible to send messages to another tracker unless you are texting or emailing with notifications turned on, and as he doesnt have a phone of his own, he can get your notifications or none.

I am not at all sure that you HAVE set yourself as his guardian on a family account as you can only set him up on a family account with an Ace or an Ace 2. All other trackers (including Versa Lite) can only be set up as an individual account, which he is too young for. So Im a bit confused as to what you have set up.
