Settings on iPhone wants Fitbit app to run the background all the time

If anyone else has this problem let me know why it needs to run in the background.  Also have a issue if my sleep syncing properly. I sync everyday with Health Insurance and they are not getting my information.

For one thing, it cannot sync if it is not running, at least in background.  If you don't care if it syncs, you might get away with leaving it closed.

until now when I purchased an iPhone. Learning in the process.

Without running in the background, you will not get notifications and apps like weather, and find my phone will not work.

Thanks, funny thing I get the weather & find my phone find my phone hasn’t
work since new phone and weather will only work in Celsius even though I
have it set to Fahrenheit. I will keep at it but again thanks for the
information.
