Settings on my watch does not work and neither do notifications

My fitbit versa 3 keeps disconnecting from my iphone 12 repeatedly, plus when it randomly does stay connected, I get no notifications, no calls, no messages, diary reminders etc.  My settings app on my phone, when selected, comes up with random numbers and has no menu options.

 

I have tried unsuccessfully to speak to customer support, received an email about my missing notifications and that someone was going to help me, ( or so they said in an email to me).  Never heard back, tried chasing but had no response.

 

i am seriously considering throwing it into the bin and getting an apple watch.

 

I am pretty good with tech, and have done everything imaginable.  Even removing my app, messing about with bluetooth, deleting fitbit, ignoring fitbit, resetting back up, setting app back up with the fitbit, after having removed it, reset the watch etc etc.......

 

No it is not in sleep mode or any other mode, it is just in s*it mode.

 

I cannot even sell it, as I cannot erase the watch as my settings app does not work on my fitbit and shows just random sets of numbers!  I have never felt so annoyed at a piece of tech ever!  Waste of money, and customer service never even bothered with my missing notifications query, never mind the fact it keeps disconnecting, now my settings app has disappeared.  I cannot believe I cannot return a faulty item that is less than a year old!

it is only 7 months old, I cannot get it swapped or a refund!  Useless junk atm.

Hi @SunsetRunner  - this is an internal corruption and needs a factory reset, best chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support, they can take you through the process.

 

Your watch is probably fine and if it was working fine try not to replace it because it should be ok once it has been factory reset and installed again.

 

Do make a note of any special apps or clock faces you have chosen in the Gallery tile of the Fitbit app before resetting.
