Shipping delays and poor customer service!

Beware everyone if your Fitbit breaks under warranty. Fitbit have very long delays in shipping a replacement out. Customer service equally unhelpful. Mine broke 17th June and it’s still not shipped. A very poor service Fitbit!!!

Same ... Mine was ordered for replacement on 22nd June ... Still not shipped. Personally I think it's because SO MANY are faulty that they don't have the stock to send out so many replacements ...  My conversation with their chat was :-

Bryan: The shipping is expected to resume by the end of this week.

Bryan: Once your order has been shipped out, you will be notified.

Me: Sounds like the customer is being hoodwinked with excuses !

Me: Why would "shipping" be delayed ... I imagine what fitbit are actually suffering is a complete lack of stock !

Me: A delay of over 2 weeks because of "shipping" is blatantly not true.

Bryan: One of our partners is experiencing service interruptions, which caused a delay in shipping your order.

Me: No stock then !

Hi Darren

I agree it does seem suspicious. They are giving everyone the same ‘spiel’. I hadn’t realised that Fitbits were breaking so frequently which is a worry and concern as how long will the replacements last?! They say it will take over 3 weeks to get a refund which of course puts people off. I decided to chose this option and sent my Fitbit back to them last week. It should have arrived by now and they have no record of receiving it which is even more of a concern. Overall it’s an absolute shambles!

It's not just for replacements. I ordered a new fitbit for my husband's birthday on 20th June. Birthday is tomorrow and it has still not arrived! I am getting the same poor excuse about "service interruptions" with no estimate given as to when the item will be shipped!

Very poor and will have one disappointed hubby with no present tomorrow!!!

That’s awful you’ll have no present to give tomorrow especially when you can walk into a local shop and buy one straight away. It does make me wonder why they are giving competitive discounts. Is this a sign of a failing and desperate company?

It does seem very odd to me that other suppliers, such as department stores, don’t seem to have the same stock issues. I only went with Fitbit direct as they offered a £20 upgrade discount but now I wish I’d just paid the extra and ordered with amazon or a high street store. Not ideal to give an email stating ‘sorry for delivery delays’ instead of a Fitbit to my husband tomorrow!
