Long story short, my Versa special edition that I've had 10 months packed in on me two days ago. Randomly started with a surge in heart rate on the device followed by extreme battery drain to the point where 24 hours later it wouldn't even turn on. Anyways, fortunately the fitbit support team on the phone were quick to address the issue and now I have the option of choosing between a replacement for my original Versa special edition or choosing 50% off another product i.e. the Versa 2.
Anyone have any thoughts on what you think I should do? Obviously the original Versa is a flawed device and isn't built to last given the amount of people who've had issues with it... Is the Versa 2 better in build quality and reliability? And another thing, I noticed someone saying they were sent a Versa 2 as they didn't have any more special editions to send, is this common? Because if so, then obviously it'd be better just to request a replacement for my Versa special edition as normal in the hope they replace it with a Versa 2.
