Should I do the firmware update?

I have a new Versa 2 as my first one kept dropping my heart rate way down while I was exercising.  I am running an earlier version 70.7.14.  The update is there to do but am wondering with all of these issues going on if it is worth doing.  I know it will give me SP02 but am wondering if I should wait.

Thoughts?  Did your issues start after the recent update? Or were they unrelated?

@CindiLi Why would you wait? Fitbit hasn't acknowledged there's an issue. I suspect the number of complainers vs the number of owners is relatively small and they don't consider the firmware a fail. Most happy users aren't posting on a support forum, so we have no idea what percentage of owners have had issues.

And, you're under warranty. Another reason not to wait. I didn't have any issues with the update on my Versa 1.

True enough, but thats why I’m asking as it seems the majority of people on here with issues are saying it happened right after the update.  Just looking for opinions.  I will do the update but I will probably wait a week to establish all is working well on my Versa 2 first.

I was really worried too reading all the posts from people having problems. I get nervous about updates in general since my iPhone 5c worked perfectly until I updated it (4 years ago?). I finally figured I’m still under warranty so held my breath and did it. Mine is working fine with no issues thankfully. Ymmv. I think the warranty would cover it if you’re still under it but not positive on that. Just thought I’d add a positive outcome since there’s so many bad ones posted. I don’t think people are usually posting things working as usual vs having problems. Hopefully you don’t have issues, good luck!
