Does anyone know if ii is ok to shut my Versa off quite often. I have a fitbit in my pocket all the time, so my Versa is sitting around a lot. To extend the battery life I have learned that I can shut it off through the setting mode. Is this feature meant as a restart or is it ok to use it like I have been?

From How do I turn off my Fitbit device?
"You can turn off certain Fitbit devices to preserve battery life."
And from Can I improve my Fitbit device's battery life?
"Shut down Versa when it's not in use."

@cartermurphy It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response. However, the information that shared @JohnnyRow is great and you can follow the links he shared if you want to save battery life on your Versa.
Regarding your question about the restart, the "Shut off" feature is not used as a restart. The restart process can be found in this help article.
Let @JohnnyRow and me know if you have more questions! 😀

I used to shut down my Versa for a while every day but after the latest update the battery completely drains while it is shut down. It will go from 100% charged to 0% in a few hours. And I cannot just turn it on again even if battery life is left. I have to do a 30-second hard restart. Is there any way I can get it to allow me to shut it down again?

There have been many users that have reported the same issues regarding shutting down after this firmware update and the procee in turning the Versa on. These are known bugs in this firmware and supposedly Fitbit is working on a fix but no ETA.

The quickest and easlest way to conserve battery on your Versa is to go into Quick Settings and select the moon icon. Then the display will remain off and the vibrator will be disabled.

I have had the same issue since Christmas. If I try to shut down for a few days and put my Fitbit away, when I take it back out the battery is a 0. I've been so happy with it up until now.

Hey...
I'm having the same issue. Have you heard from fitbit support for correcting this issue?

That used to happen to mine. I called and had it replaced
