I tried that a couple times and it didn’t work. I have since called Fitbit and they added a new device and it worked and then deleted the other profile. I did not lose any information because in essence they were just re-adding the same one.
both me and my husband updated ours and they stopped correctly measuring heart rate. Played basketball and my heart rate was 96 as opposed to the usual upper 130s. Never went above 100. Huge issue since we're tracking closely.
Our heart rates are correct. I would call them and they can help you with it. They were very good on the phone. I was kind of worried when she wanted to add a device (the same one) to see if it would work but she got it all cleared up so I am happy.
