Skin temperature - claims I need to update?

I've been wearing my Versa 2 consistently daily & nightly, and the app and watch are both fully updated as far as I can see (nothing is showing at all for them). When I go to the skin temperature section, it states 'update fitbit device to latest firmware & wear it to sleep'. What can I do please?? I can't figure out why it won't work since I do wear the device to sleep each night and everything is seemingly updated.
