Hey, I've had my Fitbit since Monday and it logs my sleep but not the sleep stages? I have removed the app on my phone and re-installed it, re added my Fitbit (twice) and changed the sleep time started (read this online but no luck!). Any ideas would be great!

Hi Sami,

Having the same problem. After 10 days of recording detailed sleep information it stopped and is doing the same as yours. Just wanted you to know that it is not just you.

Hello, have you resolved the issue and if so can you share what you did, I have been having this issue for 2 years and have had 4 inoics. I am ready to give up, the sleep stages is really important to me. Thank you for your help.

I occasionally have this issue with my Versa.  I have found that if I completely delete the sleep log for the night, I can add it back in small increments to see the stages, continuing to edit until the stages disappear.  Then I delete it again and add back the longest duration that actually had sleep stages.  I hope this makes sense.  It's a bit tedious, but once I leave the shortened duration for one night, my Versa "got the hint" and the next night and thereafter had good sleep stages.  Every once in a while it will hiccup again, and so I have to repeat the tedious process for that night.  Be sure you are cleaning your wrist and your watch with NON-SOAP cleanser.  I use Cetaphil on my wrist and just water on my watch.

Yeah I had the exact same issue. I received my fitbit last friday, got two perfectly recorded sleeping nights with all the phases etc. However, last night I activated the ‘start sleeping’ button, and My sleep log was undetailed. I then deleted the whole night log and manually added back my sleeping time from 23:10 to 09:30 (its sunday, let me be ... 😉 —> this worked fine, thankgod.

from now on I will not do anything regarding sleep, just let it be on your wrist and that should work.

Have you tried manually deleting the sleep log and adding it back with the times that you went to bed and woke up? This is what solved it for me (and as I read, a lot of other peers)

I have tried that too. When I add back in sleep time and awake time nothing changes. I'm not getting the sleep log graph stages nor my sleep score. Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S® 6.

After you delete the sleep log, add it back in small increments.  Start with 3 hours and see if you get stages. If you  to don't, delete it again and try a different 3 hour time.   Once you find a time that had stages, edit it to increase the time slept in small increments.  This works for me. Good luck.

Oh no!  Not every night.  Maybe once every 7 or 8 nights.  In fact I had to do it this morning again for last night.   After a few times, you get to know how much of the night will have stats.  It gets easier.  I can usually begin the log when it actually began, and go for 6 hours.  Then up by half-hour increments until it quits.  Then I delete and add back the last one that worked.

Fit bit not showing sleep stages

It’s funny you mentioned washing wrist and watch. I had been getting sleep stages and insights. I went in a pool with my Versa 2, and decided to take it off after a few minutes. I wasn’t swimming and didn’t need to track my floating. I wiped it down but I’m wondering If the chlorine or pool chemicals had anything to do with the missing sleep insights?

Washed fit bit and wrist, reset sleep times , and deleted previous sleep times that did not record correctly. I had correct  result results for last night.

I have not gotten sleep stats for several nights now and wonder if i got an "improvement" update that messed things up.

Mine hasn’t been working either so I did what you suggested. I deleted the log that did not show my sleep stages and O2 and added a new one and the graph showed up. Seems like most days I need to do this to get Sleep stages and O2 graph to show up. Needs to be fixed by Fitbit.

It has worked for me for last few days, the other thing I do is not to press the start sleep button.
