I've had my Fitbit Versa about three months and the tracking of sleep patterns is erratic. Almost half of the nights it only records basic information rather than the detailed pattern.
I've tried moving the Fitbit on my wrist to different spots, making sure it is fully charged before going to bed, but it remains erratic.
Since at least the basic information is tracked each night, I always let the Fitbit recognize when I go to sleep.

Hi, sleep tracking on any device is very much work in progress it will not always work or be accurate.
That said my fitbit only recorded basic information about 80% of the time I improved this to about 30% by setting sleep sensitivity to sensitive in settings. You can only do this by logging into fitbit there does not appear to be any way of doing this from the app.

I found the setting on the Fitbit website and set it to sensitive.
Now I will try a couple of nights to see what the results are.
I wonder why Fitbit doesn't let us know about settings like this up front.

Hi, let us know if it works. Fitbit menus are inconsistent and not very user friendly let's hope the new dashboard is an overdue improvement
