Sleep not properly recording on Versa2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa2 stopped parsing my sleep data. This is the only reason I bought a Fitbit. It records my heart rate fine, and records length of time by the clock (start/stop), but then the hours are off (midnight - 7 am recorded as 3 hours) and it says not a consistent connection. I bought the Fitbit to track deep sleep and REM sleep cycles. My heart rate and exercise/steps are recording accurately. Started around 4 days ago ~ July 27 2021

I have rebooted the Versa2 every day and still no love. I dont use the app on a phone, I use it on my Win10 desktop. Would post a screen cap but the online interface doesnt allow it, when clicking the camera icon.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Ember.Fenn.

Thank you for trying to resolve the issue with your Fitbit Versa 2 before contacting us.

For the best experience, we recommend using the Fitbit app for iPhones and iPads or Android phones

To try to resolve the issue with sleep stages, please visit this article, open the menu "Why don't I see sleep stages today?" and follow the instructions.

In addition, you can set up your watch as a replacement device:

  1. Tap the Today tab EdsonFitbit_0-1627953732107.png, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

If you would like to attach an image, you can follow these instructions.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestions! I realize I may not have provided enough data in my first posting.

My Versa2 was working fine for a few years and just stopped creating the sleep phases around July 27 2021. I looked at the info on Why isnt my sleep tracking and none of it relates. I have the fitbit placed correctly on my wrist, as usual, and it successfully records my heartrate all night when I check the heart rate reports. But can't seem to find my heart rate data to use in sleep calculations.

Attached screencap shows the time I was asleep (11:53pm-->7:43am), but the fitbit calculates 4 hr 40 minutes instead of almost 8 hours. No longer calculates my phases.
I also have my setting on "SENSITIVE". I have restarted the fitbit.
I tried setting my Versa up with the phone app and was never successful in getting it to pair. Not a good solution.
If I set my Versa 2 up again as a new device, won't all my recorded data be
deleted? Not a good solution if so.

Shows that I slept more hours than are calculated.Shows that I slept more hours than are calculated.

Ok now as of 03 Aug my pulse rate tracker is going bonkers. At the gym it showed 212 BPM. I went to the nurse and using pulse oximeter, my pulse was 84. We repeated it over about 5 minutes and the Versa was reading waaay high, not born out by medical grade tools. What the heck is happening to my fitbit? Is it the update like so many suspect, or is it the watch itself?

Thank you for the information provided, @Ember.Fenn.

Setting your Versa 2 up as a new device won't delete the data synched to your Fitbit account.
