Look below the chart of a sleep in question.

Does Fitbit tell you why?

Is your heart rate enabled?

It always shows me my sleep pattern and if I’m  restless but not the sleep score or if I’m in deep sleep REM it did it the first night and not since then and I’ve done nothing differently

Are you seeing the simple sleep as in my post above.

I'm not sure what is meant by sleep paterns

I have the same problem. I’ve had the versa 2 a week. I’ve gotten a sleep score twice; I’ve done the same thing every day but haven’t gotten sleep scores the other days. I don’t see any messages (like what one of the other responses notes) and I am tracking my heart rate. I want to get sleep scores every day. What can I do?

Best Answer

Are you seeing sleep stages? If you are not seeing sleep stages, then we know why you do not have a sleep score.

I see “sleep pattern” (the bar graph), not sleep stages. What should I do? Thanks!

The first step is to look below the graph for an explanation from Fitbit.

There is no message from Fitbit.

The only time I haven't had a message from Fitbit was when the firmware update disabled heart rate.

Is there a way to get an answer from Fitbit directly? I’m new to this. Thank you.

Yes I see the suggestions and none resolve the issue.

Mine initially recorded stages for about the first month i had the Versa 2, it stopped recording them on January 20th and has detected them since.Screenshot_20200128-082041_Fitbit.jpg

Hi. I’ve started getting the sleep score, etc, again. I read that some were able to get scores if they did NOT tell the app they were going to sleep. So I stopped - I just get into bed. And now I get the REMS / light / deep sleep measures and the sleep score. It’s counterintuitive but it works!

@GreenHouse201 Fitbit says that if you tell the app that your going to go to sleep, you will not see Sleep Stages and without Sleep Stages, no Sleep Score.

This is documented by going to Fitbit's help site and search for sleep

I'm not certain why but for some reason I wasn't seeing the "heart rate" settings on my watch.... found it yesterday just above the "About" section.  got sleep stages last night.
