Sleep times inaccurate

For the past few weeks, my Fitbit is showing erratic times when I’m supposed to be awake or what times o fall asleep.

For example, last night it showed I was awake for over two hours on the middle of the night.  NO I WASN’T!

This happens quite lot where it shows hours of being awake for hours in the middle of the night.

It has also not picked up times when I first fall asleep and sometimes can miss 3-4 hours.

As I wear the watch exactly the same way throughout the day/night, I fail to see what I’m doing different for it not to pick up the evening sleep time.

I must admit I find this very frustrating and would like to know if there is a fault in my watch or as it would appear, a fault in the manufacturing of the watch.

Hi @Gordon2009  - have you tried syncing the watch then doing a full Shutdown from the watch Settings menu. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it.

Also give it a clean and if you have any tattoos near where you wear it try another location.

Hi

Thanks for response.

However, I shut down and recharged last night. This morning I ‘lost’ nearly five hours sleep.

I’d be grateful for any other thoughts.

thanks

I did all the steps suggested again last night and it was even worse.

I fell asleep just after midnight and Fitbit recorded the following:

03:15 - 05:00 then 07:09 - 09:06.
What a load of nonsense.

There appears to be a major fault in Versa3 as this forum is full of people complaining about numerous faults.

Any help appreciated

I've just moved to a Versa 3 from a Blaze and feel it's taken a backwards step, calorie burn is so much lower than the Blaze i don't know if i can trust it! there definitely seems something wrong!
