Sleep tracking disappeared from the Today app

I have a new Versa 2 and have been having trouble getting any sleep tracking results to display on my watch even though I can see data within the phone app.

I reinstalled the app on another phone and reset the watch to factory as it seemed to be stuck installing a watch face. the app told me the watch needed updating via WiFi which it has done but it no longer shows sleep as a tracing option in the watch settings. I now only see three things total steps, steps this hour and BPM.

The app on the phone looks now different and watch and phone app are syncing but there is nothing i see to make the missing settings appear as they were before? My watch version is  35.70.721.

Has anyone experienced similar?

Thanks

Hi @LBswatch. Welcome! It's great to see a new face around and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for letting me know about your Versa 2 and the steps tried on your own. I've confirmed that your watch runs the latest firmware update and since your details are syncing correctly, let's make sure that your stats are added correctly to the Today app:

  1. On your Versa 2, swipe up to open the Today app.
  2. Scroll all the way down and tap on Settings.
  3. Add a check mark on Sleep so it can be displayed. Note that you can select up to 7 stats to see on the Today app.

I am having the same problem, so be advised that "sleep" is no longer a menu option at all on the watch, and there are only three options.

Hi @TiaLove. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for joining this thread and sharing that your watch isn't showing sleep as an option. This shouldn't be happening and to work on this together, I'd recommend to try the following:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and unpair your watch from that list.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth in your phone.
  3. Restart your watch to refresh its performance.
  4. Turn on the Bluetooth settings.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  6. Try adjusting the Today settings one more time.
