My Versa tracks my sleep but it's inaccurate. I woke up this morning at 7am. My Versa reported I was awake at 5am & it stopped tracking my sleep. Other nights it starts my sleep long after I go to bed. I'm asleep after my head hits the pillow. My Blaze used to track sleep if I fell asleep in the recliner, recorded awake time when I moved to my bed & went back to tracking sleep until I woke in the morning. Are there known issues with the Versa's sleep tracking that are being corrected by Fitbit? I made the wrong assumption accuracy (heart rate, steps, sleep) would not be an issue with the Versa since the Blaze works so well.

Don't feel bad about the Charge 3. From the ads it appears to be using the identical sensor setup as the Versa - a single green light transmitter diode with 3 receiver sensors. The single green light diode on the Versa, I think, is why we're all having issues with its sleep tracking - though there's a good workaround for that if you use the wristband, for which you can thank @hoofbeats95. The Charge 2 has two green diode light transmitters.

So, Charge HR the wristbands fell apart after a few months, Versa won’t track sleep, wonder what won’t work on Charge3?

I am having the opposite problem...it tracks too much sleep. Last night I went to bed at just before 8pm and when I got up at just before 3 am it still shows I am asleep. It finally says I am awake at 4am? That is over an hour more of sleep I am not really getting. I do take it off when I shower and put on my makeup but it should record my awake time when I am up and walking. This is a new issue that just started within the last 2 weeks. Is there a fix in the near future?

@keticsteve I thought the same thing when I saw the release of the charge 3. I believe they consider it the best "tracker" but the Versa is classified as a smartwatch. IMO they are very similar in features, but the face of the Versa is better *and* in color! So I think it's just how they are classified.

@stevethompson49 So don't throw in the Fitbit towel until you've gone one more lap - do try the wristband idea at night preceded by a good scrubbing/drying of your wrist and rinsing off of the Versa before putting on the wristband. I've cut off the top 4" of a semi-elastic sock so that it covers the Versa and about an inch of the wrist on either side. Not ideal but it's worked flawlessly for me over the past several weeks to get sleep stage data from the Versa, and sleep stage info as Fitbit does it is extremely enlightening, not to mention the entire Fitbit app site. Thank @hoofbeats95 for the wristband solution.

You do realize how ridiculous this is for a $300 watch? None of these little adjustments should have to be made they should just fix the thing and acknowledge there is a problem. I personally am sick of waiting and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am waiting on a fully refund.

WHY should buyers have to go through all that, though?! This is a $200 device, not some $20 knockoff. It should work as designed, period. These workarounds are crazy. I mean, I totally give you guys credit for the ingenuity, but the fact that people feel the need to go to such lengths is a really poor reflection on Fitbit.

You have me LOL. You forgot to spin around three times and make sure the bed is facing the North Pole. 😄

@Skipsterrr After you've deleted the session with missing sleep stages, how do you re-add it? And what is the "right start time"?

My fitbit measures partial sleep. ive tried weaing it on tge onside of my wriist, higher and tighter on arm and repositiioning but nothing helps. i wear a CPAP mask. Would that make a difference?

@RJJ77 I don't even delete the session; I just go in and edit the start time and that works just fine. There's an Edit button when you go into the details of the session.

That only worked for me about 25% of the time. For the remainder I would get no sleep details, or it would say I was awake for three- or four-hour stretches in the middle of the night. It's really odd how inconsistent the results are between different units (i.e. some people don't have the sleep tracking problem at all), and how certain fixes work for some units and not others.
