My Versa tracks my sleep but it's inaccurate. I woke up this morning at 7am. My Versa reported I was awake at 5am & it stopped tracking my sleep. Other nights it starts my sleep long after I go to bed. I'm asleep after my head hits the pillow. My Blaze used to track sleep if I fell asleep in the recliner, recorded awake time when I moved to my bed & went back to tracking sleep until I woke in the morning. Are there known issues with the Versa's sleep tracking that are being corrected by Fitbit? I made the wrong assumption accuracy (heart rate, steps, sleep) would not be an issue with the Versa since the Blaze works so well.

@Harwax Yes, if there are two, I delete the first one, then edit the second one.

I’ve tried every suggestion - went and got a wrist band to try that - I have NEVER had an accurate sleep display - I tried editing just the start time and that worked some of the time - deleting whole record and putting times back in works most of the time and detail show. Remember the old Pink Floyd song ”Is Anybody Out There” reminds me of Fitbit - we need answers- is Versa being discontinued? Is there still a fix on the way ? Is the sleep recording issues a small problem and we are just calculated losses ? Can we return based on 1 year warranty? I got mine through Amazon and 30 days are up - Fitbit honor a return? Is Fitbit going to recall Versa - is Fitbit gong to answer and not the generic “ We’re working on it “

@Skipsterrr Following your recomendations I went the route of deleting a sleep report from some time back showing just generic sleep - no stages - added back a new log for the now deleted date with the same start and stop times - and got back yet another generic report with no detailed sleep stages. I also tweaked the start/stop times on both ends but still could only generate a the generic report with no stages.
People are laughing at the use of the wristband and good wrist/watch hygiene, but at least it works with minimal effort to get the detailed sleep stages reports we all want.

Forgive me if I have zero confidence that their latest sleep sensor will be any better and shame on them for taking our money for something that does not work.

@SunsetRunner - based on the ads, the Charge 3 sensor array appears to be identical to that on the Versa. The issue I think is the Versa's ( and now the Charge 3's) single green light-emitting diode instead of two diodes like on the Charge 2 and other earlier Fitbits and competing devices like the Garmins which use even more. I did try one of the new Garmin Vivoactive 3 devices but was dissatisfied with its fuzzy display and exchanged it for a Versa. I'm still very OK with that decision since I've got a usable workaround for the sleep stage issue with the Versa. Moreover my opinion is that everything else about the Versa along with the Fitbit App is superior to what Garmin is currently offering, which is too bad since I'm a Garmin GPS user and really wanted to like the Vivoactive 3.

@pmcmen1019 Before you give up, please try the wristband suggestion, but make sure you've washed and rubbed dry your wrist and rinsed off (and dried) the Versa front and back before putting it on for the night. Then make sure your wristband (I use a 4"-wide cut-off heavy sock top with some elastic) is covering the Versa and maybe an inch of wrist on either side of the Versa. People laugh at this - and they're probably right - but hey, at least in my experience its the only thing that provides reliable sleep stage reporting. Thank @hoofbeats95 for the idea, it wasn't mine.

I have not needed or tried the wristband thing. My hacks have been working for me.

@pmcmen1019 Cannot say without your trying it first. If it generally meets what I advised for a wristband and you follow the protocol of washing/drying your wrist and rinsing off the Versa, it should.

Anyone having issues with clock not working on watch now? My watch is telling me to select another watch face, but it won't let.

I just returned mine because of this. A warning to those in Canada who bought it from the Source. If the packaging has the smallest amount of damage to it they won't return it unless it's defective. Initially they refused but I argued that if it isn't tracking sleep it is defective. They gave me the refund "as a courtesy" and told me that now that I know their policy I need to keep that in mind. I will alright. Bye bye Source. I bought one for my wife there too but she doesn't wear hers at night so no issue. Back to my Gear S3 Classic. It's better anyway.

@Batty1 The reset/reboot of the Versa only seems to bring back a sleep stage report if you've gotten nothing - no sleep log or stages - on resynch in the morning. Try the wristband advice.

Hello,
I was having the same issue of the sleep tracker. It showed that I didn't sleep at all for two nights. This was after I updated my clock face. I went back to FitBit clock face and it corrected the issue. It might be something that happen with a develop clock face. Not sure..but it a least it's a easy fix.
