My Versa tracks my sleep but it's inaccurate. I woke up this morning at 7am. My Versa reported I was awake at 5am & it stopped tracking my sleep. Other nights it starts my sleep long after I go to bed. I'm asleep after my head hits the pillow. My Blaze used to track sleep if I fell asleep in the recliner, recorded awake time when I moved to my bed & went back to tracking sleep until I woke in the morning. Are there known issues with the Versa's sleep tracking that are being corrected by Fitbit? I made the wrong assumption accuracy (heart rate, steps, sleep) would not be an issue with the Versa since the Blaze works so well.

I agree with I’m Getting Fitter - I have tried everything- tried the wrist band, wash and dried Fitbit, washed and dried arm , reset, clock face, changed wrist, made tighter and looser, and I have never once had an accurate sleep cycle - it showed 3 cycles last night each 1-1/2 hours - we shouldn’t have to do all this trying to get our $$ Fitbit to work as advertised

I discovered how to fix bad sleep tracking data. On your phone app, select the Sleep tile on the dashboard. Scroll down to the day with the incorrect data and press on that day. Press on the three dots in the upper right of the phone screen. Press on Delete Log., and select Delete. The display will go back one screen. Press on the '+' sign in the upper right and select Add Sleep Log. If the date/time displayed for Sleep Start/End are not correct, change them. If correct, press Save. The correct data should now be displayed for the selected date. You can go back to prior dates and do this also.

Thanks for the suggestion. One or two others have made the same, but it will not work for me. Just getting the same generic sleep report with no stages after the remove/add log exercise as you describe. What continues to work for me to get consistent, detailed sleep stage reporting is using a wristband over the Versa at night, provided I've also really scrubbed/washed my wrist and washed off the Versa before putting it on with a wristband then covering it. Tightening up the band on the Versa one notch at night is also helpful. In other words, the Versa appears to be really sensitive to the character of the wrist skin it sits on as far as successful sleep stage logging is concerned. Its sensors also have to be squeaky clean to perform correctly at night. All because, I think, the Versa only has one little green light diode, whereas the predecessor heart rate Fitbits like the Charge 2's have two green light diodes and the Garmins even more, and consequenlty they seem to perform sleep stage reporting, if not perfectly, at least with far fewer reported gripes from users. So we Versa users have to baby our Versas a little to get good sleep stage reports. But it's worth it, given the importance/coolness of those sleep stage reports and how the Versa seems to do everything else so well.

Sleep tracking is just one issue, the reasons I wanted to upgrade do not even work. Wasted money and time

Sadly this works, I am not happy spending 200 dollars to manually redo an automated task that I paid for. If this doesnt get better on the 14th day its going back to the store. smh

They should not get away with this. I am going to demand a refund from Best Buy even though I am outside of the return period. I’ve had enough. Every day I have to adjust the sleep log it’s getting old after 4 months. I will never EVER buy another fit bit product nor will I allow anyone in my family to do so. I spent 225 for a device that is fundamentally flawed In so many ways not just sleep tracking but steps as well. My wife’s Garmin is accurate and I should have just stuck with my gut and bought something other than Fitbit after reading what happened in 2016 with the heart rate monitor issue. Google it and see.

The only other thing was changing the bands. The silicone one was pretty easy, but the cloth band that comes with the more expensive model was a bear to change. Injured myself changing it each time.
Another quibble is the calorie burned calcs. All my personal information was correct but I believe the calories it showed me burning for rest and steps together was too high. I've lost 38 pounds before I got this with my Gear S3 and Samsung health always showed less resting calories and step calories on days with no workouts. If the calories are right on Fitbit I would be losing a lot more weight. This is an observation and I may be wrong.
Edit:
Phantom steps too. And no integration with Samsung health for activity.

I knew something was off when I asked for a PRP plan and the bestbuy mobile associated stated that they just recently stopped offering that. Now that I go into this forum I see exactly why 😞 What Garmin does your wife use, they are pricier but I guess that in this field you get what you pay for even if its 200 bucks, this is still entry/buggy level?

FYI it is not Best Buys fault did you get the extend warranty, if this has been happening for this long why did you wait to return it...contact fitbit and see what they say for a refund

RIP Versa. After never tracking sleep and trying everything customer service recommended over the last 2-3 months my Versa took matters into its own hands and now won’t hold a charge for more than 5 mins, Charge, comes on, dies. Msg received! Back to Charge HR or Apple Watch. Deciding. Fitbit you need to get your act together or you will go the same way as Jawbone, great design, no quality. RIP.

Bestbuy no longer offers PRP for this device. That in my oppinion is a big tip on the quality of the purchase. It was offered now it was removed. My guess is the turnover rate was non-profitable to offer this replacement plan.
