Sleep tracking inaccurate with Versa

My Versa tracks my sleep but it's inaccurate.  I woke up this morning at 7am.  My Versa reported I was awake at 5am & it stopped tracking my sleep.  Other nights it starts my sleep long after I go to bed.  I'm asleep after my head hits the pillow.  My Blaze used to track sleep if I fell asleep in the recliner, recorded awake time when I moved to my bed & went back to tracking sleep until I woke in the morning.  Are there known issues with the Versa's sleep tracking that are being corrected by Fitbit?  I made the wrong assumption accuracy (heart rate, steps, sleep) would not be an issue with the Versa since the Blaze works so well.

The problem is they don’t have a solution! I have been working with them for months with no progress. My Versa has now died completely so will be getting my money back at Best Buy and investing in an Apple Watch. Sad because I love the Fitbit app but like Jawbone before them, hardware let’s them down. Lack of testing!

How do you get your money back if you have lost the bill ? That's my case.

I had a fitbit since the first charge model. The Vista will be my last unless they contact me to try to sort it out. Disgraceful, indeed.

UGG - I think mine is going in that direction - battery life is getting
shorter and shorter. Stairs not calculating etc..

Totally agree, just keep coming back with suggestions, not addressing the real issue

I myself cannot find the setting for mentioning.  😞

Hi @Tammy_S have you tried changing the sleep sensitivity setting under account (top right icon on phone app) and Advanced settings.

I have my setting on normal for my Versa and it seems spot on for sleep times.

Really wish I would have found this thread before buying the Versa.  I like the look of the Versa and there are some decent features, but the sleep tracking is laughably pathetic.  It worked on the first night but then gave me the simplified sleep data for the next 6, even though I altered band tightness or position.  It then started providing the sleep stages again, but every single night there are issues.  Starts showing sleep stages long after I’ve been sleeping, stops them long before I wake up (even though it shows I actually woke up at the time I actually did), or shows large gaps in the night.  It’s bascially pointless to wear to bed. I’m also noticing that the floors data isn’t nearly as accurate as it was on my Charge HR 2.  I haven’t done a factory reset yet, but from it doesn’t appear it’s worked for many, I’m not holding out much hope.

This will be my last Fitbit.  I have had 3 Charge HR 2’s and not a single one made it longer than 14 months.  It’s just time to find another fitness tracker the delivers more in terms of design quality and performance.  Nothing is perfect, but Fitbit isn’t close.

This is my exact experience. I've had issues with this Vera's sleep tracking since day 1. I'm never buying another Fitbit, especially after seeing Fitbit's lack of solutions or even conscious recognition of the problem ....

Fit bit has lost sight of what’s important and they will fail like Jawbone did.  Really pathetic company.  I’m up to over 30 people now who were going to buy a fit bit and wound up buying another brand after learning about this terrible support.  Multiply that by the hundreds  of people that have had the same experience and you can see why they will not succeed long term.

Same here. Nothing to make you become a brand ambassador/advocate.

Mine is the special edition too. So special it doesn’t work. I just wish they would reply. Where I bought it from won’t take it back because it’s been worn. So I’m over 200 pounds out of pocket.. I am bitterly disappointed..

Mine is the special edition, but it isn't working, so I don't think that is the secret to success.  She must just be lucky 🙂

And mine sometimes wakes up when I look at it, but most times I have to tap it.

I used to have the Blaze.  Tracked sleep perfectly.  Versa is terrible at it.  Spoke to customer service twice.  They verified an issue with app but no timing to resolution?!?  How has this been outstanding this long?  More important, how did this product make it to market with such a serious issue?  Very disappointed. Will be returning today.

I have been wiping off the back of the Versa and my wrist with an alcohol
wipe. It has been working fine for the past 2 weeks.
