Within last few weeks, my Versa 2 has stopped completing pairing with both my iphone and ipad. As part of troubleshooting a syncing problem, I deleted the Versa 2 from my account. Unfortunately, I have been unable to add the device back to my Fitbit account. I attempt to add the device, my iphone/ipad sees the device, the Fitbit generates a pairing code, and I enter the pairing code within the Fitbit app. The progress bar immediately goes about 1/3 of the way across the screen .. and that's about as far as I get. It eventually times out with the error - "Something went wrong. There was an error while trying to pair your device". While the devices are attempting to pair per the Fitbit app, my Versa 2 shows as CONNECTED in my Bluetooth settings on my iphone/ipad.
Please note - each time I try to add my Versa 2, I first turn off/on Bluetooth on my Apple device and reset my Versa 2 by pushing/holding left side button for 10 secs. I've also tried deleting/reinstalling the fitbit app, but that hasn't helped either.
Any other suggestions?
UPDATE: Decided I've invested enough time in troubleshooting issue, so I opened Chat with Fitbit Support. While troubleshooting with first technician, never resolved issue. In addition, when attempting to Add My Device, my Fitbit app could no longer even see my Versa 2. After not progressing any further, ended chat with tech who was checking into my warranty status.
Short time after ending my chat, I realized there was another bluetooth device that was still on in close proximity. Once I turned off the bluetooth on this other device, the Fitbit app was once again able to see my Versa 2, the Versa 2 generated the pairing code, I entered pairing code in the app, and the pairing processed started - but again did not complete.
I opened new chat with Fitbit support to simply update them on discovering another bluetooth device had been interferring with my attempt to connect my Versa 2.
New tech asked if I had tried factory reset which I had not. He told me to open Settings app on my Fitbit (gear icon) to do this. Interestingly, my Settings app had disappeared from my Versa 2. After confirming all the apps that were still present, tech gave me another way to factory reset my Versa 2 - AND THAT DID THE TRICK!! My Versa 2 connected fine, software was updated to that my Settings app has returned.
Here are steps to factory reset my Versa 2 WITHOUT the Settings app -
1. Hold left button until Fitbit logo appears
2. When logo disappears, release the left button briefly (for less than 2 seconds)
3. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates the factory reset has been initiated (factory reset takes a few minutes)
4. Fitbit log should reappear - followed by welcome to Fitbit messages
Hope this helps!!

Hi @barbo83 - thanks for that information but it should be noted that it is not advised to factory reset a watch outside of warranty because of the risk of killing the watch, due to a bug in the process. If there is no other option one has to take the risk.
Also having multiple Bluetooth devices [phones, watches, iPads and those of partners] is known to cause a problems with initial pairing when all that is needed in most cases is to restart the phone and the watch.
Sometimes removing the Bluetooth entry from the phone, doing a logout/login of the app, then going to the phone home screen produces a sync notification which if followed reestablishes the connection.
It is often useful to have the SimpleCheckUp app on the watch. This will tell you when you last synced and if its connecting to the Fitbit App, directly on the watch, so you don't need to get your phone out and gives you more information because syncing isn't the only thing that needs to work, connecting [without syncing from the watches perspective] is important too. If it's working it can be connecting but not synced currently.
