Someone changed the email address of my account

Hi all,

I got an email from fitbit that my account's email address has been changed last Saturday to another email address. Someone has changed it without my consent!! Now I cannot login the app anymore.

Even after I created another account, I cannot pair with my versa as it mentioned that the devise has been locked! I emailed fitbit support twice but got no reply.

Anyone can help me?!! Thanks so much!!!

Thanks! I have sent another email to Support team and they just mentioned they are working on it without giving me a timeframe. I'm very disappointed at this! I hope they can fix the issues soon, at least i can pair it with my new account if it is not possible to restore my old account.

My account has been hacked. I've changed to a new email but nothing is syncing. I've sent a couple emails showing the account information of the people who changed my email. Please help ASAP as I can't use my fitbit.

This had just happened to me today. Got an email saying my account password has been changed. Obviously FitBit does have a problem with keeping our accounts safe. I just wanted to pass this onto you incase your account gets hacked again. I'm thinking of just deleting this account as I don't trust FitBit to keep my data safe.

If an email address is to be changed there should be explicit confirmation via the original email address.  Allowing email addresses to be changed after 72 hours without explicit consent is ridiculous.   Whoever came up with this process does not take security seriously especially when there's documented hacks of fitbit's data releasing username and passwords how does that happen?

This has just happened to me, its absolutely pathetic that an email address can just simply be changed! I'm waiting to here back from support.

Thank God I didnt hook my bank card up to it! I dont feel safe using fitbit anymore

I was exactly the same. Fitbit support managed to sort it out for me in the end.
