I recently got a Fitbit versa and since I have set it up, I no longer have the ability to use the speakerphone when taking calls. Is that because the watch is linked via Bluetooth? Is the only remedy to disengage the watch/Bluetooth while on a call?

To clarify, i am talking about the speakerphone on my iPhone.
