I bought a brand new unused, unpaired Fitbit Versa Special Edition Lavender band model. I Thought all Fitbit special editions had Fitbit pay. Even display models. This one seems not to. Bought from a US vendor. I hear that in the UK all models normal and Sp Edition are Fitbit pay enabled. In that case, I can see why Fitbit pay wouldn't need to be on the back of the unit. Perhaps, the manufacturing was done there.
It does not have a Fitbit pay display on the back, and nor can I see the Fitbit wallet on the app.
I was told by the vendor to pair it via Bluetooth, but that took 9 hours and failed. I tried it again and it failed. On Fitbit's site, it says to pair it via Wi-Fi for the Versa, charge, and ionic. I did that and paired quickly, but no indication of an ability to use Fitbit pay. Are special edition display models fake special editions? Mods and pros, let me know

The guy actually apologized for it not being pay enabled, let me keep it and sent one that is. People should test their pay enabled units when they first get them. Now, we just need more bank participation or added to the listing.

Yes, if the Versa is claiming to be the Special Edition model, it should have the pay feature. But a word of warning on display models. Many of those just have limited features. As a retailer, I would not want someone setting a credit card up on a display model, whether on puroose or by mistake. I suggest you return this device to the seller asap. If the seller is a recognized Fitbit authorized seller, I’d report them.

If the Vender told you to pair it by the Bluetooth, theyb where wrong with this advice. The user does not pair the Fitbit to the phone, they use the Add device to your account open to setup the tracker, then the Fitbit app does the actual pairing.
If the user is able to pair directly with the phones Bluetooth, this step would prevent the app from being able to find the tracker.
You might want to contact Fitbit and ask them.

The fibit app gave me a choice to pair it WiFi and Bluetooth. It recommends
WiFi for faster firmware updates. Bluetooth keeps failing even though it gives you that option to set it up.

I paired my phone before I set it up via wifi, they both work, and are calculating everything. I just don't see the wallet in the app or device.
