Special stride setting for treadmills

Can we get a special setting in the treadmill exercise to adjust for the difference in stride between outdoor running and treadmill running? Currently my stride length is set with GPS when I run outside. However, when I run inside on a treadmill my treadmill will read 4 miles while my versa is reading 6 miles. That’s a HUGE discrepancy.

It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community @Beetree.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not recording your distance accurately while on the treadmill.

I would like to clarify, when you track an activity with GPS, your watch calculates your distance using GPS data rather than steps. If your activity doesn't require GPS as the treadmill, your watch will use the formula below to calculate distance. Your stride length is determined by your height and sex.

Steps x Stride Length = Distance Traveled

I would recommend making sure that your height information is correct on your Fitbit profile. Whether you would like to measure and add your stride length manually, please follow the instructions on this article.
