Speech signals in App results in two set of workouts

While running I want to hear my speed at each kilometer.

To do this I have to start the workout from the Fitbit app on my phone, because when I start it from my watch I don't get the voice.

  1. Open the Fitbit app (phone)
  2. Click on "+" to register workout
  3. Make sure speech is set
  4. Click on "play" button, GPS is 3 or 4 bars green
  5. -WORKOUT STARTS-
  6. Versa shows that a workout in the app has started and I click the yellow >>
  7. -RUN-
  8. End run, have to do this on both Versa and App

  9. Two workouts with different data
  10. Versa workout has less distance but includes heart rate
  11. App workout has all of the distance but no heart rate
  12. Both get synced with Strava.

And this is not even complaining about the inaccurate GPS!
Enough to move to another platform because training based on this data is not possible.

@Bart_NL   Your description of what happens at step 6 sounds like you have the Run Detect feature of the Run shortcut enabled.  Do the following to turn it off.  Swipe to your Exercise icon on your Versa > Run > gear icon > scroll to Run Detect and turn it off.

You got two workouts because you tracked your run with the Versa and the Fitbit app at the same time.  These are two different software features.  For lack of a better term, they don't "talk" to each other and you get duplicate data.  The data was different because the GPS was connected on the Fitbit app right as you started.  The Run Detect needs recognize the run, you hit the >> to start, and your Versa had to connect to your phone's GPS.  That can take a few minutes giving you two different records.

I think making sure your Run Detect is off will solve the duplicate records.

Yeah, now it doesn't start the run on my versa watch.....

But still no heart rate data when I start the run in the Fitbit App on my phone.

And that is the only way to get voice support (stats each kilometer).
