If the Versa had Spotify I would be the first in line to buy one. Is Fitbit looking into partnering with Spotify? If not, why not?

I think it would be great to have Spotify for Fitbit Versa and as recommended by our friend, check the Spotify for Ionic/Versa request, vote for it and leave your comment. I hope this can be implemented soon.

Hey @Colef, welcome aboard! Oh! I'm sorry to hear that the Fitbit Versa is not meeting your expectations as hasn't been announced that it supports Spotify. So glad I saw this thread!  I was debating getting the Versa too but I'm a Spotify user.  I won't bother to "make my voice heard" on the suggestion board (so spare me your copypasta Fitbit mod) Probably pre-order the Samsung watch after all  just wanted to give this a bump!

If you mean the Spotify HR app, it is not a Spotify app, only a controller, nothing more. What this thread is about is having an actual Spotify app to store offline music on our watch to listen to without a phone or any other Spotify-enabled device.

I understand that versa does not support the spotify app, but am I able to download/share playlists from my spotify account onto the watch?  The description says that it can hold up to 300 songs...how are those songs downloaded to the watch otherwise?

You cannot you would have to either download mp3 music from your computer or have a membership to either pandora or deezer

No Spotify, currently. You can load mp3, or Pandora or Deezer.

I am thinking about upgrading to a Versa or Ionic. Could I connect with my Spotify playlist? I really don’t want to have to download all my music again in another app. Thanks for the help!

I'm afraid fitbit doesn't yet support spotify, it supports only pandora and deezer.

As @SteveH mentioned, using Spotify to play your music is an excellent idea and I would like to encourage you to vote and post your comments in this request that was already suggested here: Spotify for Ionic/Versa, members of the Community can place new ideas in this board so they can be implemented in a future update, this is the best way to make your voice heard. The more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains.

@Keke74 Spotify is a 3rd party app. It's Spotify who develop it. That's where you should send your request. If there's an interest, Spotify will look into it.
