Steps Lost on Treadmill or Pushing a Stroller

If I'm taking a walk and pushing my son in the stroller, will my FitBit track my steps properly?

I've recently been spending a lot more time on my treadmill recently, I've been noticing chunks of time where my FitBit doesn't seem to be tracking my steps or miles. Does that have to do with holding onto the rails? I sometimes go faster so hold onto the rails to keep my balance.

I want to make sure I'm getting my steps in accurately. I feel like with my FitBit one I used to get a lot more steps a lot more easily in a day and now I'm fighting to get my step goal with my Versa.

If you push a sttoller or trolly or hold the rails on a treadmill the Versa (or any wrist worn tracker) you will not get your full step count. When I go shopping with a trolly I put mine in my pocket and it counts steps well (though the other functions dont work so well of course)
