Steps counting when riding the bike

Hi,

Steps are counting even when I ride the bike, this really annoying after purchasing with such a high price..

Anyone from fitbit will read this blog or only for people who purchased and facing the music...?

I have seen lot of people complained on the same... But I couldn't find any solution till now... This shows the value given by fitbit  to the customers.

Regards,

Suresh

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SureshKumarD

I am glad to assist you with your concern about your Versa Lite tracking steps when you're riding a bike. I understand how you are feeling and I am here to help you. When you ride a bike on bumpy trails, your device may add some steps. I recommend selecting the "Bike" exercise from the Exercise app before your workout. If you use automatic tracking to detect your bike ride, make sure the Outdoor Bike exercise is set to be automatically recognized. For more information, see How do I track my exercise and activities with Fitbit?

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. Robot Happy

Hi,

As you suggested I have started my bike ride option in my fitbit versa lite
and completed ride of 25kms, even then steps counted and shown as 1600.

Any help is appreciable...

Regards.

Hi @SureshKumarD, thank you for your reply!

I appreciate the additional details and would like to confirm if the steps are showing for your bike exercises after syncing when you tap on the Exercise tile in your app.

Looking forward to your response!
