I noticed that the Versa is extremely sensitive in step- (and stairs) counting. Is this a hardware or software issue or a combination? In other words, is there a possibility that it will be fixed in the future with a software update or not? I don’t want to use any apps or other tricks that will compensate for this inaccuracy. And please don’t tell me to restart the device because I did that a 100 times.. any ideas?

There are a couple threads about this already. We're all still patiently waiting for someone to address the issue, but I don't think we've heard a single thing. I've already exchanged my Versa two times, and I'm having the same issues plus new ones. I hope we hear something soon...
