Steps on iphone won’t add to fitbit total

I went for a walk whilst my Fitbit was on charge. I have my phone with me which counting my steps. How do I get those steps counted on my phone to add to my Fitbit a total for the day?

Hi @Janetrosethomas with what app, on the I one, did you use to count your steps. If you used the mobile run. found in the fitbit app, your steps would have already synced.

It was just the Health app on iPhone.

The only choice would be to manually add the walk now.
