Steps stay at 0

My fitbit versa stopped counting steps in the middle of my day and the screen shows steps at 0 and will not move from there.  This afternoon I was at 9000 steps for today before I noticed it is now at 0. I have tried resetting the versa but it has not helped correct the issue.
