Stock Versa top strap pin broke

Hi, 

I just received my Versa yesterday and tried to take the strap out today to wash them. I followed the instructions to pull the quick release lever towards the center, but found it extremely difficult to do so. Eventually I managed to remove it (only the top strap with the buckle) , but when I tried to fix it back, the pin broke! I can't use the spare in the box either because it's the other strap. Why is the strap so difficult to remove and so fragile, and where can I get a replacement in Singapore?

@goister   You can get the pin out of the other strap --just wiggle it out -- and put it in the strap you want to use.  I know this because I broke a pin, too.
