Hello all,

Yesterday I dropped my fitbit versa special edition at work and today when I went to work it synced and it showed my steps increasing so it tells me someone from work has it. it synced over and over again and we went around to ask people to give it back if you have it but no one came forward. My question is since it's password protected their limited to certain things right? they can only see the time, steps, calories, etc etc? why don't  it have GPS to pin point the exact location? can i disable something so they can't use it anymore?

Hi @SunsetRunner.  Welcome to the Fitbit forums, but sorry about your lost tracker.

See What should I do if I lose my Fitbit device? , particularly the last step.  There are phone apps to help locate tracker via bluetooth, but only until it runs out of charge.

If someone else is indeed using it, once it runs out of charge, they'll be out of luck unless purchase another charger.

You might be able to get some clue by looking at the stats, such as how active and what time of day.

If you have any credit cards on it, nobody else can access them without your pin, but you probably want to want to drop them from your phone app.

Another possibility is that nobody actually not has it but it is somewhere it gets vibrations that can get interpreted as steps.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

If I were you I would immediately download a Bluetooth scanner (if you use Android I suggest this) and walk around your work place trying to locate it.

Good luck!
