Strava and Fitbit, distance not accurate

If I am using Strava to track my rides, does my Fitbit watch auto detect exercise and gathers more frequent heart rate data, then when Fitbit grabs the Strava ride in the exercise section the heart rate is there

Also using bike mode on Fitbit versa has issues with GPS tracking.  The 2 times I used this feature, the distance was way off, the map had several straight lines and points that were way off from my trail.

Same path with Strava no issues.  However tracking heart rate is important to me.
