Hi..got my new Versa 12 hours ago. Haven't been able to use it yet.
The display continues to show 'To start, download the Fitbit app'.
I've re-installed the app on my phone,
Restarted the Versa 3 times, to no avail..

First of all go into your phones Bluetooth settings and make sure to unpair the Versa if it is already paired in there.
Have you created an account or logged into the Fitbit app with an existing account?
Once you've done that you will need to tap the account card in the top right hand corner of the app - set up a device - Versa - and follow the instructions.

I'm having the same problem, even tough I have had no problems syncing other fitbit products in the past. I have done all of the troubleshooting described.

i have same problem and non of these steps above helped me in anything ,really i feel i wasted my time and money in this fitbit

Very true. I have the same problem today! Its time was incorrect and I tried to sync & reset few times with no luck. So, I did a factory reset and now the watch becomes useless!

I am having the exact same problem. Any ideas anyone? It keeps saying to install the app again?!
