Help! It's day 2 of having my Fitbit Versa & it not working properly w/ my Samsung 7+ Edge. I setup my Versa, but the app gets stuck at "Updating Your Fitbit Versa," yet the Fitbit shows it's ready to go. The load screen while updating went from the expected blue to green. I'm able to use my Fitbit as is, but the app itself on my phone isn't working properly...and as a result, my messages aren't coming through.
I've uninstalled and re-installed the app, and certain alerts come through (emails, calendar) but messages and phone calls don't. I've set my Versa back to factory settings and tried to re-setup via the app and I get stuck at the same spot. It was over 1+ hour each time. I'm connected via Wi-Fi. My phone just keeps saying "Firmware Update in progress."
Anyone else have the same issue and if so, how'd you resolve it? Thanks in advance! This is my first Fitbit product and at this rate, my last.

Hey @nicoleeigh, welcome to the Fitbit forums! I appreciate the time you have taken to try to fix this not updating firmware issue with your Versa. Beside those steps, I'd like you to try the following:
- Before you begin the firmware update, make sure your watch is plugged into the charger and in range of your Wi-Fi network during the update. For best results, use your home or work Wi-Fi network. If you've never connected your watch to Wi-Fi, see How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi?
- Move your watch closer to your router.
- Make sure your router is connected to the internet.
- Check to see if you have another Fitbit tracker or watch paired to your phone. If so, you must tell your phone to "forget" the device, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device.
- On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth > find the tracker or other watch in the list > find an option to forget the device.
- Update the Fitbit app to the latest version
- Try again to update your watch.
- If you can't update your watch over Wi-Fi, follow the on-screen instructions in the Fitbit app to update
your watch over Bluetooth instead. Note that firmware updates over Bluetooth may take significantly longer to complete.
If you have trouble updating your watch over Bluetooth, try these steps to resolve the problem:
Check to see if you have another Fitbit tracker or watch paired to your phone. If so, you must tell your phone to "forget" the tracker, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device.
Please let me know the outcome! 😉

I'm having the same issue and nothing is working. I am trying on both a Samsung s4 and s5 and it will not download the firmware, through either WiFi or Bluetooth. So far I have been very disappointed with this quite expensive watch that does jot work at all. I ordered it through the fitbit web site, can I return it to a store or do I have to return it to the website. This is ridiculous.

Hey @Lesbugr, welcome aboard! Our team released Fitbit OS 2.2 to a small subset of Fitbit Versa users. If you already have Fitbit OS 2.1 on your watch and want to upgrade to Fitbit OS 2.2, you can factory reset your device to receive the update. See How do I erase my Fitbit device?.
Please note that factory resetting your device clears all data from the watch including music, Fitbit Pay information, and apps. All your Fitbit data is still available in the Fitbit app.
If you’re having issues updating from a previous version, our team still working on making the update more widely available.
Let me know how it goes!
